The Active School Committee have launched their Spring into Spring Active Pledge Campaign. Every class will pledge to get moving in March by choosing three areas to focus on.
Some classes have pledged to do a March on Monday, Walk on Wednesday, outdoor movement break, to learn on the move on our Active Walkway and swap written homework for Active Homework one night a week! These are just a few of the creative ways the boys and girls of Glór na Mara are getting more active this Spring.
We had a fabulous start to our campaign as the sun shone on the 5th and 6th classes as they completed their first 2km March on Monday. There was lots of fun at breaktime as the senior classes made up their own ball and other playground games.
The Active Playground Leaders have been busy organising games for the Junior Yard every Tuesday and Thursday. Well done to our wonderful Active Team. Let's hope the sun is here to stay!
