  • Travel

We encourage children to walk, scoot or cycle to school where possible and are part of the Safer Routes to School programme. In 2017 we were awarded a School of Excellence Award for our School Garden.    Children enjoy growing a wide range of vegetables and herbs. We promote a love of the outdoors, biodiversity and our locality.

Our school also was also very proud to be announced as the national winner of the Our World Irish Aid Award in 2017 and 2019 for our work in promoting Global Goals.  We have forged close links with community environmental groups and actively campaign for a more sustainable world.
