We are absolutely thrilled by the incredible energy and enthusiasm our students brought to Féile Fichille 2025! On the 11th of February three teams of pupils from 4th, 5th and 6th class were selected to represent Glor Na Mara at Féile Fichille 2025. Our day at Gaelscoil Philib Barún was filled with fun, teamwork, and the joy of playing chess in a friendly, non-competitive setting. Every student who participated helped create an unforgettable experience that truly reflected the spirit of our school.
A very special thank you goes out to all the children who attended our chess club every week since November. Your commitment, passion, and excitement have been the driving force behind our success, and we couldn’t be prouder of your progress. Your hard work shone through on the tournament day, and it was a pleasure to see you all enjoying the games and learning together with pupils from schools across the county.
We are already looking forward to next year’s competition and can’t wait to welcome you all back for another year of chess adventures. Keep practicing, keep learning, and most importantly, keep having fun!
