There was great excitement when a delivery of over €1500 worth of free books arrived last week!! These books were bought with the rewards earned from our Scholastic Book Fair in October. A huge thank you to Ms.Dineen for organising the book fair and to all of our parents who so generously supported it.
The 5th class Library Committee worked extremely hard this week to process, catalogue and stack all of these new library books on the shelves as quickly as possible. They have also been planning some fun activities for World Book Day next Thursday 6th March and look forward to seeing all the boys and girls bring their favourite book (and pyjamas!) to school on the day.
Our Friday Open Library was another great success today. It is wonderful to see such a positive attitude and enthusiasm for reading throughout the school. Well done to all involved!
