🌱 Planting, Growing, and Learning Together! ☀️🥔
Our 5th class students rolled up their sleeves and got their hands dirty this afternoon as they teamed up with other classes—and with Colman—for a fantastic few hours of planting and garden prep in brilliant spring sunshine!
From transplanting native saplings to planting potatoes in grow bags for the Great Spud Challenge and raised beds, it was a hive of activity. Lots of hard work went into weeding and preparing the beds over the last few weeks, making space for potatoes, onions, broad beans, and spinach to take root.
Meanwhile, our leeks, beetroot, peas, and mizuna seedlings are coming along, with plenty more seeds ready to be planted in the coming weeks. With the sun shining down, it was a perfect day to learn, grow, and connect with nature! 🌿🌞
A huge thanks to Ms Condon's 5th class who chitted the potatoes over the last month and set up all the spuds ready for planting this afternoon..Today they showed representatives from all classes how to grow and look after their potatoes! Exciting times ahead for our school garden! 🌾🛠️🌻 #GrowingTogether #SchoolGarden #Teamwork #TheGreatSpudChallenge #ColmanPower
