We are very proud to announce that Glór na Mara has earned it’s very first Amber Flag!
The Amber Flag initiative is run by the charity Pieta House and aims to promote positive mental health and wellbeing in primary schools.
There has been lots happening all around the school this year in an effort to achieve this flag. The classes have followed monthly themes such as emotions, growth mindset, gratitude and friendship to name but a few!
We must especially mention our hardworking Amber Flag Committee. They have been so helpful and insightful all throughout the year to organise some special Amber Flag moments such as our ‘Burst of Kindness’ day and our ‘Lá Ildaite’. Pictured below is the Amber Flag committee with a donation of €517.50 for Pieta House after our school fundraiser.
Well done to everyone for getting behind the Amber Flag committee. We can’t wait to see our flag flying high next year🌟
