Active October is well underway in Glór na Mara and the Active Committee were delighted to see all of the classes display their Active October Plegdes on their classroom doors. It is wonderful to see the wide range of activities from dance breaks, active homework, yard games and running to Olympic movement breaks...the list goes on! Keep up the great work everyone!
Last week 5th class were learning about the Sustainable Development Goals and decided to start a campaign to share their information. They held a Walkway Challenge for 3rd to 6th classes. As the other classes visited each control point, 5th class taught them about a different Global Goal and what we can do to promote them. It was fantastic to see so many boys and girls being active while learning how to make our world a better place.
Thank you to Cillian and Millie from the Active Committee who helped 5th class on the day also.
