A trip to Tramore library to see Irish storyteller, Niall de Búrca.
On October 3rd, Ms. Condon's 5th Class and Ms Alyward's 6th class had the exciting opportunity to visit Tramore Library, where they were treated to a captivating storytelling session by the famous Irish storyteller, Niall de Búrca. Niall, who has journeyed across Ireland and Europe sharing his mesmerizing tales, quickly drew the children in with his masterful storytelling. From the moment he began, he had their full attention, engaging them with his expressive voice and lively gestures.
What made the experience even more special was how effortlessly Niall blended Gaeilge and Irish history into his stories. He skillfully wove cultural elements into his narratives, making the session not only entertaining but also educational. His ability to transport the audience into the world of his tales left a lasting impression on everyone present, making it an unforgettable experience for both the children and the adults alike. I am certain that he has inspired some future storytellers.
