Egg Incubation Project - Chickens in School
Our school is participating in an exciting egg incubation project in conjunction with Nore Valley Farm, Bennettsbridge, Kilkenny. This hands-on experience will provide valuable insights into the miracle of life for our pupils and will be used as a valuable educational resource
We have seven eggs for this project, making it an ideal opportunity for our pupils to observe and learn. The incubator in the foyer of the school, near Martina's office. The eggs are due to hatch on October 10th/11th. Following the hatching and we will have the chickens in our school for a week. The team from Nore Valley Farm will be collecting the newly hatched chickens on October 19th. Their team will ensure the chicks are well cared for. This is part of our Green Flag programme for Global Citizenship- Food and Biodiversity.
